On 3rd November, Rohit Sharma and Co. lost the T20I series opener against Bangladesh. And, it was the day when Team India missed their death over specialist Jasprit Bumrah a lot, who is currently recovering from the stress fracture that he sustained ahead of South Africa Test series.

Jasprit Bumrah’s last appearance for Team India came against West Indies in the final match of the Test series at Carribean soil. Post-Diwali celebrations, he underwent through an assessment, according to which he can mark his comeback ahead of Australia series in January 2020.

During his time with recovery, the premium bowler is becoming proactive on social media platforms with his pictures and captions and got trolled by his teammates on a few occasions. Recently he shared a photo of him wearing a suit and gave a caption to it, “Playing it cool”.

The post soon went viral as the Indian cricket fans went berserk on his photo asking him about his return to cricket. This reaction came from the fans following India’s first-ever defeat against Bangladesh in T20Is.

Bangladesh chase down the total easily

The hosts posted a competitive total of 148 runs in front of the visitors. In reply to it, Bangladesh chased down the target with three balls remaining. And, Mushfiqur Rahim was given the Man of the Match for playing an unbeaten knock of 60 runs. Also, Soumya Sarkar (39 off 35 balls), Mohammad Naim (26 runs off 28 balls) and Mahmudullah (15 runs in 7 balls) gave valuable contribution with the bat.

At one moment, visitors were struggling and needed 33 runs in 16 balls on the difficult pitch of Arun Jaitley Stadium. It was Khaleel Ahmed, the Indian fast bowler, who was given the responsibility to bowl the 19th over of the match, and he gave away 18 runs in it. By the time he ended his last over, Bangladesh needed only 4 runs in the last over. In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian team has struggled a lot in the shorter format and have lost two matches consecutively.
