Rajasthan Royals opener and English batter Jos Buttler feels that Prasidh Krishna has all the traits of becoming an effective fast bowler. He thinks that Krishna, given the chance, can play for India in all three formats of the game.

Krishna made his international debut in the One-Day format last year, on March 23, 2021. He was roped in by the Indian team during the England tour of India. He is yet to make his way into the T20I and Test format, but Buttler feels that he will get there soon. His performance with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL helped him earn the ODI cap.

“He has some pace in the nets and skills, he’s got all the attributes to be a very successful fast bowler for India in all formats of the game. I see him playing red-ball cricket for India as well,” Buttler told the media ahead of RR’s next game.

He also said that the inclusion of Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult has brought “invaluable experience” into the team. “Their experience is really invaluable. Having those guys is fantastic, we have lots of experience to draw from. Against Mumbai, the game was in the balance and we needed wickets, Ashwin came up with a fantastic wicket and then Yuzi got two in two. Those guys are top performers and they know how to get things done,” he added.

We are enjoying playing under Sanju Samson’s leadership: Jos Buttler

The prolific opener was all praises for his team’s skipper Sanju Samson and said that he has developed himself a lot, as a player, since he first started playing with him. “Not many changes (since Sanju became captain). That is one of the greatest attribute any leader has to have — being yourself, being authentic,” he said about the skipper.

“Sanju definitely has that. His game has matured, cricket has matured, he’s older and wiser than when we first started. We are enjoying playing under his leadership, he makes a great environment. He’s a fun guy who has respect from the entire group,” he added.
