Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) move to bring cricket back to the country is reaping rich rewards this season. While Darren Sammy has been one of the main attractions in Pakistan over the years, AB de Villiers has also agreed this year to travel to the country which has excited many fans. Now, another overseas cricketer Liam Livingstone has decided to play in Pakistan and is rather excited to take the field in front of the passionate crowd.
Livingstone was signed up by the Karachi Kings for the upcoming season which is scheduled to commence on February 14. He plays for Lancashire in the domestic circuit and has an experience of playing in 51 T20s in which Liam has smashed 1110 runs at a brilliant strike-rate of 145.47.
The Kings will be hoping that the pick turns out to be a game-changing one for them and the fact that he will be playing in Pakistan as well makes him available for the whole season.
Pakistan is a beautiful country
While speaking to The Cricket Paper, Liam Livingstone spoke highly of Pakistan as a country and expressed his elation of playing in front of the crowd which has been deprived of some quality cricket in last ten years. “I’ve been told Pakistan is a beautiful country & it will be a great experience to play where the grounds have a lot of passion & are full of people who love cricket,” he said.
Livingstone was also one of the surprise picks in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction for the upcoming season. He was snapped up by the Rajasthan Royals for his base price of Rs 50 lakhs. He will also be available for the whole season as he is not in England‘s World Cup plans at the moment. It will be interesting to see how he fares in his maiden stint in PSL and IPL as well.
