On Sunday, Islamabad United were dealt with a massive blow as their ace fast bowler Hasan Ali decided to pull out from the ongoing sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Hasan cited family issues as the reason behind his exclusion and revealed that he will be soon flying back to Pakistan as nothing is more important than family.

However, it is now learned that the pacer has decided against pulling out from PSL 2021. Hasan will be staying back in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and will continue playing for Islamabad United. The news comes as a big relief for the franchise as the pacer was performing extremely well in the competition. He has picked as many as 10 wickets in six games at an impressive average of 14.

The 26-year-old revealed that his wife has assured him that she will handle the family issues and the cricketer should focus only on his game. Further, Hasan also spoke highly of Islamabad’s team management for supporting him and respecting his decision.

I would like to thank Islamabad United for their support: Hasan Ali

“I was going through a personal family issue, which has been resolved thanks to my wonderful wife. She has assured me she will take care of it and wants me to concentrate on my cricket and my career. Hats off to such a wonderful partner. She has always stood by me through the hardest times and after consulting with her I have decided to stay on with Islamabad United for the remainder of PSL 6,” said Ali in a press release issued by United.

“I would like to thank Islamabad United for their support and understanding during this tough period. And would especially thank the fans for their prayers and support, they have given me strength through these tough times,” he added.

Meanwhile, Islamabad United owner, Ali Naqvi, also opened up on the whole episode saying that the franchise will always support their players and will respect their decisions.

“As with his initial intention, Islamabad United will always support any personal decision that one of our family makes. It is fortunate for us that Hassan will be available for us through the rest of the tournament. But more importantly, we’re happy that whatever issues there were have been resolved. We wish the very best to Hassan in every aspect of his life.”
