Due to the solar eclipse on Thursday, the play was affected in many Ranji Trophy 2019-20 games due to bad light. In some matches, the entire first session wasn’t possible. Shikhar Dhawan‘s extraordinary effort against Hyderabad ended as he got out after scoring 140 runs. Yet, his efforts were sufficient to put the opposition on the backfoot. Ishant Sharma’s four-wicket haul helped bowl out the opposition for 69 runs and thus follow-on was enforced.

Paras Dogra scored a double century for Puducherry while SS Kumar got to a hundred helping the team gain a massive lead against Mizoram. Rishi Dhawan’s all-round efforts gave an upper hand to Himachal Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy game against Karnataka. Karun Nair scored 81 runs and led his team from the front but found no support from the others.

M Murasingh was brilliant with the ball on this day and picked up a 7-wicket haul against Services. Ruturaj Gaikwad impressed with a century while the Kerala-Gujarat game has almost come to an end. Kerala needs another 242 runs to win this Ranji Trophy match. Mumbai is struggling in the match against Railways as Karn Sharma put his team ahead with a fabulous ton.
