Cricketer-turned-expert Shaun Pollock has lavished praise on star Afghanistan leg-spinner, Rashid Khan, by terming him the most valuable player of T20 cricket. Over the past few years, the Afghan leggie’s stocks have risen multi-fold due to his ability to change the complexion of the game singlehandedly. His ability to take wickets whenever the captain demands during any stage of the game makes him the most dangerous bowler in the shortest format.

Naturally, Pollock was pleased with these qualities of Rashid and spoke about the same during the first Rario Pack Reveal Party, where the fans and users had got the first taste of the much-awaited first-mint. The launch packs also consisted of some of the most memorable moments of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) from the eight seasons gone by. Started mainly as entertainment to its fans and followers back home, the CPL has managed to become one of the most popular T20 leagues across the globe, due to an exciting brand of cricket being played.

At the online pack reveal party, host Gaurav Kapoor and Pollock spoke in length about their very first Rario Packs. The former South African captain also recalled those days when he used to collect sports cards when he was a kid.

“Growing up, we used to have collectible cards for all South African sporting legends, which we used to collect and stick inside a particular book that used to be there. There were about 100-odd names in this book. So we would get these cards, swap them in school and stick them on in their place in the book. There used to be ten ‘all-time legends’, which were rare cards and the hardest to get hold of. We had to swap about 15 cards just to get hold of one of those rare ones. I remember that time fondly. Since then, I have signed quite a few of these cards for fans,” told Pollock to My Khel.

“Rashid Khan is an absolute game-changer. He is so dangerous with the ball, and his four overs are the most crucial overs in any T20 match that he’s part of. His skill and craft with the ball is just exceptional. He is also a decent contributor with the bat and can knock it about in the death overs at times. For me, he is the MVP in any match in any league that he is playing,” said Shaun Pollock about Rashid.
