Ravi Shastri misses his 'Flipper, Bouncer, Beamer, Yorker and Skipper' in the UK

Team India head coach Ravi Shastri is currently in England for India’s tour against the home side. Shastri has been with the team for a long time now and has been the driving force for India’s thrilling performances time and again. Shastri has often been credited for instilling a great sense of competitiveness in the team which only pushes them to perform better.

However, it seems like Shastri is missing his dog buddies in the UK. In the latest turn of events, Shastri posted pictures of his five dogs enjoying their meals on a sunny day back in India. The interesting thing about the post that attracted fans’ attention was the name of the dogs. Shastri called his dogs Beamer, Flipper, Yorker, etc.

“My buddies Bouncer, Beamer, Flipper, Skipper, Yorker tucking in to their lunch on a rare sunny day on the west coast in India 🇮🇳. Miss you guys. See you soon,” tweeted Shastri.

Talking about Shastri’s current run of form with India, India was highly expected to win the inaugural edition of the WTC Final against New Zealand but it didn’t unfold. After that, India is locking horns against England for a five-match Test series where visitors have already taken up a 1-0 lead after their enthralling show at the Lord’s.

India won the 2^nd Test match at the home of cricket producing some extraordinary efforts in all departments of the game. Shastri congratulated the team through his tweet that read, “To win at @HomeOfCricket as a player and coach is something very special. Thanks a ton, guys for making it happen. It has to be noted that there have been a lot of talks around who will take up the coach duties of India after Ravi Shastri. However, his stint still remains and a lot will depend on India’s performance in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021. The high-profile tournament is all set to take place in the UAE where India’s journey will begin on October 24.
