Ravichandran Ashwin shocked to hear the news of Sridevi's demise

Popular Bollywood actor and the Padma Shri awardee Sridevi recently passed away in Dubai. The news of her death spread like wildfire on the Sunday morning of February 25, 2018. The condolences have come from all corners of the social media for her family members. The cricket fraternity was not far behind in expressing their grief either. Now, veteran Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has also expressed his shock at having heard the news of the sad demise.

Ravichandran Ashwin took to micro blogging site Twitter to express his grief on the news. Ashwin, in his tweet, looked visibly disheartened at how the nature of the human life is. He remarked that it is indeed very difficult to digest this news and understand the fact that Sridevi is indeed no more. He expressed his support to the closed ones of the popular actress.

Here is what Ravichandran Ashwin tweeted:

“Sridevi no more ? so difficult to fathom that she is no more, such is life I guess. Strong will to those near and dear to her. #RIPSridevi,” Ravichandran Ashwin wrote in his tweet.

Talking about the popular actor, Sridevi was one of the iconic names in the Indian movie industry. Her illustrious career spanned over four decades in the entertainment industry. She passed away at the age of 54 in Dubai last night. Reportedly, it was the cardiac arrest that was the cause of her death. She was in Dubai with her family when she suffered the arrest.

She was in the city to attend the wedding of her nephew Mohit Marwah. One of the close family members confirmed the news of her death and also noted that it was the cardiac arrest that was responsible for it. “Yes it’s true. She was in Dubai while some of the other family members came back to India. We hear it’s cardiac arrest,” a source close to the family confirmed as per the reports in the Times of India.
