Ever since Shahid Afridi has revealed that he has been tested positive for Coronavirus, wishes are flooding for him on social media. Not only the former and current Pakistan cricketers have wished for his quick recovery, but the players from other countries have also expressed their solidarity with Afridi. Bangladesh superstar Mushfiqur Rahim has joined the bandwagon now hoping for his speedy recovery.
Both the cricketers share a great bond and are very good friends off the field. Not long ago, Shahid Afridi bought Mushfiqur Rahim’s bat through his foundation which the latter had auctioned. Rahim donated all the funds raised by selling his bat to help the needy and poor people in the pandemic. The Bangladesh wicket-keeper also posted a video then thanking Afridi for his brilliant gesture.
Coming back to Mushfiqur Rahim’s wishes, he took to his Twitter handle to state he was hurt to know Shahid Afridi’s news. He also urged his followers to pray for former Pakistan cricketer and hoped that he recovers soon. “Really feel so hurt by seeing your news brother…May Allah gives you sifah…Please pray for my brother…He has been found as covid-19 positive..In shaa Allah you will be fine-MR 15,” his tweet read.

Shahid Afridi fourth Pakistan cricketer to be tested positive
As far as Shahid Afridi is concerned, he became fourth Pakistan cricketer to be tested positive for Coronavirus. Before him, Taufiq Umar was also diagnosed with COVID-19 and he recovered from it within two weeks as well. However, former cricketers of the country Riaz Sheikh and Zafar Sarfraz lost their lives due to the virus last month.
Meanwhile, even the Indian cricketers prayed for Afridi’s quick recovery and leading the way was Gautam Gambhir. He felt that the 40-year-old should recover soon and rather no one should be struggling due to the pandemic.
“Nobody should be infected with this virus. I have political differences with Shahid Afridi but I want him to recover as soon as possible. But more than Afridi I want every person infected in my country to get well as soon as possible,” he said.
