Red Bull Campus Cricket National Finals 2020: Semi-finals- Round-Up

As the Red Bull Campus Cricket 2020 is approaching its final day, the matches got more and more intense. Day four of the tournament saw two matches between the semi-finals teams. Colleges from the cities of Indore, Ahmedabad, Jalandhar, and Jaipur took the centre stage for the semi-finals events. Out of the four cities, it was Jalandhar and Jaipur who have locked their seats for the finale events.

The first match of the semi-finals took place between DAV College Jalandhar and DAVV University Indore. While choosing to walk with willows first at Ekana International Stadium, Indore posted an average total of 133 runs on the board. Power packer performance from Jalandhar boys helped them to win the match by six wickets. Gaurav Chaudhary was named as the player of the match for his knock of 32 runs on 18 balls. He was successful in picking two wickets as well.

The second match of the day saw SS Jain Subodh College Jaipur and New LJ College Ahmedabad locking horns with each other. After electing to bar first, Ahmedabad could only put up 120 runs on the board in their quota of 20 overs. The match was caught in a tight spot towards the end by Jaipur won it by seven wickets ultimately. Sachin Kakodia was named as the player of the match for his decent knock of 32 runs.

The National Finals of the Red Bull Campus Cricket would take place on 4th December at Ekana Internationa Stadium, Lucknow. The mega tournament which sees the participation of various famed colleges across India is in its ninth leg. The cricketers involved in the tournament saw the expertise of Rajasthan Royals to scout talent at the match day. The best performers of the finals day would get the chance to go feature in Rajasthan Royals’ talent hunt.
