Virat Kohli’s pet dog Bruno breathed its last early on Wednesday after staying with the family for 11 long years. The Indian skipper himself took to Instagram to post a heartfelt message for Bruno after his demise. Even his Anushka Sharma also posted an adorable picture in the memory of the pet.

The ongoing pandemic has made the life tough for the human beings. Though they are getting an opportunity to spend some time with the family, the lockdown is taking a toll on a few now. Moreover, the personal losses during this period have been too many. COVID-19 alone has taken almost 1700 lives so far in India while the count has gone past 2.5 lakh across the world.

Pets do play an important role especially in the lives of celebrities. More often than not, the likes of cricketers and actors will have a pet dog or cat in their home and is always a part of their family. So when the pet passes away, it feels like a personal loss for them and the same has happened with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma.

Virat Kohli’s message for Bruno

Virat Kohli took to his official Instagram handle to pay tribute to Bruno and also expressed that it felt like a connection of lifetime with him while he was there. “Rest in peace my Bruno. Graced our lives with love for 11 years but made a connection of a lifetime. Gone to a better place today. God bless his soul with peace,” his message read.

Here’s the post:

Last month on April 15, even Australia cricketer Steve Smith and his wife Dani Willis suffered a similar fate as their pet dog Charlie passed away. The former then had posted a picture with Charlie and bid an emotional good bye to his family member while also stating that he was loving, loyal and an all-rounder.

“Very sad to say goodbye to our little family member. Charlie was so loving, loyal and just an all round legend. I miss you already little man. Rest In Peace,” Smith’s message read.
