Riyan Parag reveals his favourite Bollywood film and actor, also names his role model

From being a part of U19 side which won the World Cup in 2018 to hogging the headlines in IPL 2020– it’s been quite a memorable journey so far for youngster Riyan Parag. Parag had previously shared the dressing room with Shubman Gill and Prithvi Shaw during the U19 World Cup but Parag had to wait for his time to gain the spotlight in international cricket.
Riyan Parag grabbed the headlines after being picked by Rajasthan Royals for INR 20 lakhs in IPL 2019. The 18-year-old ensured that he made his presence felt amid the razmataz of IPL. He scored 160 runs in five innings with a strike rate of 127. Furthermore, he scored a 50 against Delhi Capitals and etched his name into record books by becoming youngest ever player to smash a half-century in the history of IPL.

The much-awaited tournament has been postponed for an indefinite period and considering the stern situation across the world, the possibility of the league to commence looks very slim.
Riyan Parag considers his father as his role model
In such trying times where everyone is spending time in isolation, CricTracker decided to catch up with Parag via an Instagram live session. The teenage sensation was hurled with several questions on the live session and he spilt the beans over a variety of topics.
When the Guwahati-born player was asked about his cricket idol, he responded by saying that his father has been a role model to him in his cricket journey. Apart from cricket, Parag was also asked a few Bollywood questions. The 18-year-old was asked about his favourite Bollywood actor as well as film.
He took the name of Hrithik Roshan as his favourite actor and ‘War’ as his favourite movie. The Bollywood movie ‘War’ was a recent release which had a star-studded cast of Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor.
Parag’s last First-class endeavour was against Triupara in a Ranji Trophy game at Guwahati. He has played 13 First-class matches so where he has amassed 659 runs along with scalping 14 wickets. He also has a ton and four-half centuries under his belt. Parag will aim to impress in IPL 2020 where he will share the dressing room with many eminent names like Ben Stokes and Steve Smith.
