India’s mainstay in batting in limited overs cricket, Rohit Sharma, took to Twitter to reveal that he received the Spanish home jersey for the 2018 World Cup in Russia to support the members of La Roja in the upcoming mega event

It is a well-renowned fact that Rohit is an ardent Madrista, a loyal supporter of Real Madrid in La Liga. Rohit received the traditional red and orange colours of Spanish jersey as a reward for his loyalty to the Spanish national side who were the World Cup winners in South Africa back in 2010.

Spain qualified for the World Cup after topping Group G of the qualifiers which featured teams such as Italy and Albania. It was only recent when Rohit Sharma received the WWE Championship belt from Triple ‘H’ after winning his third title in IPL history with the Mumbai Indians.

Here’s the post

“Yes, I am a huge fan of Real Madrid and follow the English Premier League. Real Madrid is by far my favourite because they play aggressive and smart football. Its tough to catch up on all the games but I do try and follow as much as I can,” claimed Rohit earlier in an interview.

“Once I’m done with my gym, training and daily routine, I unwind with some football. It’s the best way to relax given our hectic schedule. And I play Fantasy League with my friends, so, that rivalry makes the games even more interesting,” continued the Mumbai Indian skipper. He further named David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane and Fernando Torres as his favourites.

“(Zinedine) Zidane and David Beckham are my favourites and are at the top of my list but (Fernando) Torres is a close third, I enjoy watching him play. Unfortunately, I don’t own any of their personal jerseys but team jerseys, of course!” concluded the Indian opener.
