Rumours abuzz that Virat Kohli could feature in a movie

Of late we’ve had a good number of movies made on cricketers the likes of Mohammed Azharuddin, MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar all had their biopics feature on the silver screen. However, here we may well see a cricketer putting up a display of his acting skills on the big screen. According to Pinkvilla, Indian captain Virat Kohli is supposedly going to feature in a movie.

Rumours have been doing the rounds that Karan Johar is keen to sign Virat for a movie. While it’s difficult to make assumptions considering the 29-year-old is at the prime of his cricketing career and is playing non-stop cricket around the year, but it sounds like an amazing collaboration.

Recently, Virat Kohli was lauded for his acting skills in an advertisement alongside girlfriend Anushka Sharma, who’s a renowned actress. During a talk show some time ago, even Aamir Khan appreciated Kohli’s acting in advertisements. Kohli retorted hilariously saying that it was restricted to those short durations.

Karan Johar had earlier praised the star batsman’s acting skills after watching the advertisement. He tweeted, “What a lovely ad Abhishek Varman has directed for #Manyavar and @imVkohli is an outstanding actor,”

Virat who has decided to take rest for the month of December citing personal reasons and won’t feature in the limited-overs leg of Sri Lanka‘s tour to India. While there have been rumours that Kohli tying the knot with Anushka, this year the duo have ruled that out.

So far, the batting star has had a successful stint as the skipper in Tests as well as limited-overs cricket. India have won their last seven consecutive series’ and have been on top of their game. The South Africa tour is going to be this young teams first big overseas tour ever since Virat took over the captaincy, and he would be eager to prolong the winning phase.
