Nothing seems to be going right for Team India. After a shameful loss in the first Test at Pune, it seems like the second Test is also going in Australia’s favor, until now at least. While on one hand, the Indian bowlers have been struggling to dismantle the Australian batting line-up, discarded pacer S. Sreesanth expressed his wish to bowling on the M Chinnaswamy pitch.

The Bengaluru pitch was offering much assistance to pacers but Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav could not take much advantage of it. Although they did keep the pressure up with some relentless bowling, they managed to pick up one wicket apiece and seeing the way the pitch has behaved so far, Sreesanth expressed his desire of bowling on it.

Posting a picture of the 2010 Test between India and Australia at Bangalore, he tweeted: “Really miss bowling fast for my country ..would have loved to play this match against Aussies..reverse swing for sure ..# love test

The Kerala bowler, who was banned for life by the BCCI’s disciplinary committee in September 2013, was cleared of all charges by a Delhi trial court in 2015 because of lack of evidence. Sreesanth was found guilty of match fixing by the Board of Control for Cricket in India during the 2013 Indian Premier League.

However, the BCCI has not lifted the ban on the pacer since their decision was independent to any criminal proceeding and was based on its independent disciplinary action. The Kerala High Court then sent a petition to the BCCI on for lifting the ban after the bowler sent a petition to the Court for the same.

Whether or not BCCI lifts the ban is yet to be seen. But it is certain that Sreesanth is leaving no stone unturned to untag himself as a match-fixer and resume international cricket.
