Sagarika Ghatge opens up on her alleged relationship with Zaheer Khan

It was during Yuvraj Singh’s marriage ceremony last year that rumours started encircling that Chak de India acclaimed actress Sagarika Ghatge and Zaheer Khan was allegedly dating each other. The chemistry became a hot topic in the media when they were inseparable during Yuvi’s marriage and the latter also posted pictures with his wife, Zaheer and Sagarika. According to reports, Zaheer started dating Sagarika around 6 months ago through a common friend and the both had an instant liking for each other.

Months after the speculation has become quite a sensation in the India, Sagarika finally decided to open up and spoke about his relationship with Zaheer Khan. Talking to Mid-day during an exclusive conversation Sagarika said, “Let’s just say I am in a very happy space right now. I have never spoken about my personal relationships. In fact, I have never spoken about anything to the press. Personal space is not for discussion.”

Interestingly in the film Chakde India, Sagarika is also seen dating a cricketer. When asked about the pressures of dating a cricketer Sagarika said, “I will remain just the way I am: low profile as ever. Why should I be any different just because I am linked to someone? I am not the kind who can put up a farce. I have no shame in admitting that I draw into my shell easily and come out only when I have to speak. I have big respect for Zaheer’s game and before you ask, yes he will watch my film (Irada) when it releases.”

Sagarika’s new film Irada is set to hit the box office on 17th February. She will be paired opposite Arshad Warsi in the movie. Her role in Chakde India was appreciated by all and won her many accolades.

Zaheer Khan, on the other hand, is enjoying his time after retiring from international cricket in 2014. He is currently leading the Delhi Daredevils outfit in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and is also the mentor of the franchise.
