The Indian bowling conundrum has shown significant change over the last few years. After a long time, India seem to be a world class side with regards to its bowling lineup. The likes of Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Umesh Yadav and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have created a revolution which is less likely to end anytime soon.

Whether it has been the Test format or the limited overs, they have always managed to create an enigma with their performances. Even the spinners have done well especially the pair of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal who have been bamboozling the batsmen with their wrist spin. With the World Cup nearing, India have a problem of plenty when it comes to the bowling department.

Sanjay Manjrekar highlighted that Hardik Pandya will find it difficult to break into the strong Indian bowling lineup. Shami has displayed some tremendous form in the recent few games and is likely to play as the third pacer alongside  Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar. Also with the spin duo Chahal and Kuldeep certain, Manjrekar felt that Pandya needs to emphasize more on his batting.

Here’s what the commentator tweeted

“Tough one for India – Fitting in Hardik in a full strength Indian team with Bumrah available. Shami, Bhuvi, Bumrah, Chahal & Kuldeep now indispensable. Hardik must therefore compete more as batsman with Rayudu, Kedar and Karthik. Your thoughts?” #WorldCup2019

However, most of the fans were of the opinion that it won’t be viable to play such a strong bowling attack. Indeed they expected Hardik Pandya and Kedhar Jadhav to play the all rounders role and cover up for the fifth pacer rather than a specialist bowler. Jadhav has shown some superb batting form and taken wickets regularly. On the other hand, Pandya took a couple of wickets on his comeback as well.
