The much-awaited 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is almost here and all the players are sweating it out in the hot and humid conditions of the middle-east. With the commencement of the cash-rich league, the race of grabbing the Most Valuable Player (MVP) laurel will also begin. The MVP award is one of the most prestigious awards of IPL wherein a special point calculating system is followed to choose the player of the tournament who has excelled in all the three departments of the game.

On Monday (September 14), the former New Zealand cricketer Scott Styris took to his official Twitter handle to predict one valuable player each from all the eight franchises that can take them to victory in the 2020 edition of the T20 Championship.

Starting with Delhi Capitals, Styris went for Rishabh Pant as their likely star performer in the upcoming IPL. Pant is considered as one of the most explosive batsmen and was one of the key reasons of the team’s remarkable performance in the last edition of IPL. The commentator then picked Hardik Pandya as the probable MVP for the defending champions Mumbai Indians. Hardik is a high-quality all-rounder who is known for his all-round match-winning abilities.

Moving forward, Scott Styris selected Shubman Gill for Kolkata Knight Riders while he named Ravindra Jadeja as the player to watch out from CSK’s camp in IPL 2020. Notably, the all-rounder can play a crucial role for the Super Kings in the absence of Suresh Raina.

Dawid Warner was the New Zealand stalwart’s pick as the most crucial player of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). The swashbuckling batsman was the highest run-getter in the 2019 edition of the cash-rich league and will be looking forward to repeating the history.

Unsurprisingly, Scott chose Virat Kohli as the most important player of RCB squad, as expected, for IPL 2020. This is no secret that Bangalore is heavily reliant on their skipper and Virat’s performance will be crucial if the team wishes to win it’s maiden T20 title.

For the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), the Kiwi cricketer named flamboyant opener and newly appointed captain KL Rahul while he went for England’s Jos Buttler as the crucial player for the Rajasthan Royals camp in the upcoming edition of the IPL.
