Social Media has brought celebrities closer to their fans. Most of the times, it is witnessed that the cricketers respond to their fans and try to stay connected with them in some or the other way. But everything comes at a cost. The same social media has compromised the personal lives of celebrities and even cricketers as they are questioned for whatever they do.

The latest example of the same was the pictures of Pakistan cricketers enjoying their time in England during the World Cup. After their loss against India, the fans slammed them for no reason stating that instead of practising ahead of the marquee clash, they were out having fun. As it turned out, the pictures turned out to be a couple of days older and were not before the India game.

This time around, the cricketer under the scanner has been Shane Watson whose Twitter account has been hacked. Some weird activity through his official handle was noticed on Thursday. The hacker responded to some of the fans in a not so good way and soon the screenshots of his tweets went viral on social media.

Watson enjoying the well-deserved break

Meanwhile, as far as Shane Watson is concerned, he seems to be unaware of some wrongdoing with his official Twitter account. He prefers keeping him away from social media and is not much active generally which must’ve encouraged the hackers to hack his account.

Talking about his on-field heroics, Shane Watson is currently enjoying his time away from the game. He hasn’t played any game since the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year where he played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He then announced his retirement from the Big Bash League (BBL) and it remains to be seen if he will feature in any other T20 league in the near future.

It is not yet clear if he will play the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the IPL next year. As of now, it seems that he will play the latter and might skip PSL as the whole season is set to be played in Pakistan. Generally, the foreign players have reservations about playing in Pakistan and it remains to be seen Shane Watson features in the tournament.
