Team India cricketers were spotted playing football during an indoor practice session ahead of the eagerly anticipated Asia Cup 2023 Super Four stage clash against Pakistan. The match will be contested at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, September 10.

India-Pakistan Super Four clash to have a reserve day

The Super Four clash between India and Pakistan will be a rematch as their Group A clash in Kandy was washed out due to rain on September 2. With the prospect of rain hovering over the game yet again, a reserve day has been added to the schedule.

Apart from the final, the match between the arch rivals will be the only Asia Cup game with a reserve day. However, an official announcement regarding the same is yet to be issued by the ACC (Asian Cricket Council).

After rain prompted a washout when India and Pakistan first met in the ongoing continental championship, rain showed up in India's first international match against Nepal, also at the same venue. However, it was not as persistent on the day, enabling India to sail into the Super Four with a 23-over chase. Moreover, a rain threat also looms over the India-Pakistan encounter on Sunday, with up to a 90% possibility of precipitation.
