The Australian cricket team is gearing up for a three-match ODI series against India, which is scheduled to begin on September 22. This series will serve as a crucial opportunity for the team to fine-tune their preparations ahead of the highly anticipated ODI World Cup in 2023.

In an exciting development, the Australian Cricket Board has recently unveiled new kits for both the men's and women's teams for the upcoming 2023-24 season. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see how the Australian team will perform in the World Cup and other upcoming events while sporting their fresh jerseys.

The official 'X' account of Australian cricket shared a video showcasing the new kits with the caption, "New Aussie kits for season 23-24."

Notably, the much-awaited ODI World Cup is set to commence on October 5. The finalists of the previous edition, England and New Zealand, will face each other in the opening match of the tournament. Cricket enthusiasts around the world are eagerly anticipating this exciting competition.

I think it's great having the Indigenous artwork on the kit: Mitchell Starc

Meanwhile, reflecting on the overall design of the new Australia jerseys, most of the players seemed happy with how the design has come up especially just before the coveted ODI World Cup 2023. In the same vein, the Australian gun bowler, Mitchell Starc, said that the jerseys were inspired by the artwork of the indigenous people.

It is worth mentioning that for quite a considerable time, Cricket Australia have been working relentlessly to bridge the gap between the common Australian masses with the indigenous communities across the country and have been promoting the message of harmony and equal rights by including their culture and art on the national jerseys. Moreover, the Australian board also making these moves in a bid to give a fitting tribute to the present, emerging and past First Nations cricketers.

"I think it's great having the Indigenous artwork on the kit. We've been pushing for that for a long time and now to have it represented on the uniform for all three formats is fantastic," Starc was quoted as saying by Cricket.com.au.

"It's a fantastic progression and all the players are proud to wear it. Wearing the Aussie kit is a proud moment for anyone. I've been very fortunate and humble to be able to wear the kit for a long time," the pacer concluded.
