The ongoing 16th match of IPL 2023 between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians witnessed a remarkable moment when veteran Aussie opener David Warner switched his stance to bat right-handed. The incident took place in the eighth over of the match when the Capitals skipper was at the crease to face a free hit from young offie Hrithik Shokeen.

The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League has already witnessed some unique moments and Delhi Capitals' David Warner added to the madness in the clash against Mumbai Indians. Mumbai's young offspinner Hrithik Shokeen committed the cardinal sin of overstepping in the eighth over of the match and Warner was on strike to face the free hit. However, the veteran Aussies' tactics did not work, as he could only manage to miscue a drag down from the bowler.

It was an eventful over from the 22-year-old off-spinner as the very next delivery ripped prodigiously to miss both the batter and the wicketkeeper, going to the boundary for five wides. Delhi's Manish Pandey was beaten all ends up by the very next delivery, only for a little inside edge to save him from a stumping and reward him with a fortuitous boundary, the second of the over.

However, Pandey's luck ran out in the next over as veteran Indian leggie Piyush Chawla got rid of the dangerous batter to scalp his first wicket in the match. The wicket got the visitors back into the contest as IPL debutant Yash Dhull was dismissed by Riley Meredith in the following over. The procession continued for the visitors as they grabbed their third wicket in three overs in the form of hard-hitting Rovman Powell, courtesy of a lovely googly from Chawla that caught the batter plumb in front of the wicket.
