'Ended extremely poorly' - Parth Jindal apologises to fans after Delhi Capitals crash out of IPL 2025

The Delhi Capitals (DC) have been eliminated from IPL 2025 after their disappointing 59-run loss against the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium on May 22. DC co-owner Parth Jindal expressed his disappointment and reflected on how the season panned out for his team.
Jindal apologised to the fans, reflecting on how the team went down from being the favourites in the first half of the season to not qualifying for for the playoffs. Jindal concluded by saying the team will concentrate on their final league game and focus on the positives from this year.
“Sorry to all @DelhiCapitals fans - like you i too am reeling from the second half of the season. What started so well ended extremely poorly. There are positives to take from this campaign but for now all focus on the next game which we need to win. Post the season there will need to be a lot of introspection on a lot of aspects,” Jindal posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Speaking of Delhi Capitals' campaign, they are currently fifth on the points table with six wins and losses each and one no-result in 13 games. Their upcoming game against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on May 24 will be their final encounter this season and the Axar Patel-led team will aim to end the season on a high.
