The fifth and the final day of the second Test of the ongoing Ashes witnessed plenty of drama. But one incident which stirred controversy was the dismissal of England wicketkeeper-batter Jonny Bairstow in England's second innings. The English batter moved out of his crease after dodging a bouncer by Cameron Green before his Australian counterpart Alex Carey had a go at the stumps. Notably, the third umpire ruled the English batter out over the appeals of all Australian players.

Many have criticised Carey and Australia for not withdrawing their appeal, claiming the Australian player's actions were against the spirit of the game. Meanwhile, after his fellow teammate's dismissal, veteran England pacer Stuart Broad could not hold back his anger as he was heard on the stump mic telling Carey, “You will forever be remembered for that.”

Former India cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has given a response to Broad's remarks to Carey. Sivaramakrishnan reacted to a Twitter post on the English pacer’s comment, saying, "Stuart Broad will be remembered for getting hit for six sixes in an over by Yuvraj Singh."

Broad was hit for six consecutive sixes by all-rounder Yuvraj Singh in 2007 World T20 match between India and England in Durban. It was the Super Eight stage of the World Cup, and after losing their first two games, both India and England needed a win to advance to the semi-finals. India were 171/3 in 18 overs after batting first when Yuvraj had a heated argument with Andrew Flintoff.

Later, Broad, who came to bowl the penultimate over, was smashed for six straight sixes by the Indian all-rounder. Yuvraj also reached his half-century in 12 balls, the fastest in the history of T20I cricket. Notably, India finished at 218/4 in 20 overs, with Yuvraj hitting 58 off just 16 balls with three fours and seven sixes and an excellent strike rate of 362.50 as India won by 18 runs.
