In a crucial clash for playoff contention, the Delhi Capitals (DC) posted a commanding total of 199/3 in their 20 overs against the Gujarat Titans (GT). The innings was anchored brilliantly by DC opener KL Rahul, who displayed a masterclass in batting with an unbeaten 112 off 65 balls, which included 14 fours and 4 sixes. This was Rahul’s fifth century in his overall IPL career.

GT captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to bowl first. With Mitchell Starc unavailable for the match, DC brought in Mustafizur Rahman as a temporary replacement. But, it was a Bengaluru-born cricketer show with a dominant performance by taking charge right from the start throughout the innings.

Rahul was well-supported by other batters. Abishek Porel chipped in with a quick 30 off 19 deliveries, while Axar Patel (25 off 16) and Tristan Stubbs (21 off 10) added decent scores. In the bowling department for GT, Arshad Khan, Prasidh Krishna, and Sai Kishore managed to take one wicket each but struggled to contain the DC batters.

A win for GT would secure them a spot in the playoffs, while DC needed a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive.
