Dwayne Bravo announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on September 26. The former West Indies all-rounder was part of numerous franchises across the globe and brought his charm to the franchise cricket. But the 40-year-old is mostly known for his stay with the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Hours after the retirement announcement, Kolkata Knight Riders have inked a contract with Bravo as their mentor.
Gautam Gambhir, who mentored KKR in their third IPL title was signed as the Head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team. As it stands out, KKR were searching for a new mentor, and the former KKR player Jacques Kallis' name was popping up often. By signing Bravo, the Kolkata-based franchise has ended all speculations. The Trinidad cricketer will hold the mentorship reigns from the IPL 2025.
