Indian cricketer KL Rahul and Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty tied the knot in the presence of close family members and friends in the Shetty's residence in Khandala, Mumbai on Monday, January 23.
The marriage was an extremely intimate affair, with a strict no-phone policy. The wedding of the couple also marks the first celebrity wedding of 2023. The couple got hitched after being in a relationship for three years.

"In your light, I learn how to love," Athiya and Rahul posted the caption along with some beautiful pictures from their wedding, while taking to their official Instagram handle.
They posted a heartwarming message along with the pictures, thanking family and friends for sharing their happiness with them as they prepare to embark on a new journey afresh.
"Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that’s given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness," the post read.

Bollywood actor and Athiya's father Suneil Shetty looked a proud man seeing his daughter embark on a new journey. Speaking to reporters about the wedding function, the 61-year-old said, "Bahut acha raha...aur abhi phere bhi ho gaye, shaadi officially ho chuki hai, aur officially father-in-law bhi ban chuka hoon! (Feeling elated, the wedding rituals are done and the couple is officially married. I am now a father-in-law)."
However, he further remarked very wittingly that though he is a new father-in-law, but he always took immense pride in being a good father, as he was confident he carried out his duties very well.
"In-law ka chakkar agar hat jaye aur agar father hi rahu toh bhaut khoobsurat hai, kyunki who part main bhaut ache se nibhaata hoon (Being a father is amazing because I am good at playing that role)," he said.
Suniel Shetty and son Ahan exited the wedding venue - their home in Khandala - after the ceremony to distribute sweets to the media people who were stationed there all day.
On an ending note, though note elaborating much, when asked about the post wedding reception, Shetty gave a short reply, "Definitely I think post IPL."
