Shami to miss IPL, T20 World Cup 2024
The Uttar Pradesh pacerβs unavailability for the entire Indian Premier League (IPL) season has thus been confirmed, along with uncertainty regarding his participation in the T20 World Cup 2024 in June. Before his surgery, he had consulted specialists in London following a recommendation from the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
On the other hand, the Indian team, buoyed by their recent victory over England in Ranchi, will enjoy a four-day break. They are set to depart from Ranchi on Tuesday and regroup in Dharamsala for the final Test starting March 7. With India securing a commanding 3-1 lead in the five-Test series, anticipation is high for the concluding match. The break provides players with a chance to recharge before the crucial finale and reflects the team's focused approach to the series.
