ODI World Cup: Team India arrives in Mumbai for semifinal against New Zealand

Indian players have arrived in Mumbai ahead of the semifinal clash against New Zealand in the 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup. The high-octane clash will be contested at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
Several Indian players including KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, and Ravichandran Ashwin among others were spotted making their way to the bus outside the Mumbai airport in a video surfaced on social media. The support staff were also spotted along with the players. Ace Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was accompanied by his wife Rivaba Jadeja. Meanwhile, captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Mohammed Siraj were not seen in the minute-long video.

Team India have had a dream run in the ongoing ODI World Cup, having won all nine games in the league stage. They are coming off to the semifinal after a thrilling win over the Netherlands in their final group stage game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on November 12.
Speaking of the game, India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first. Rohit and Shubman Gill opened India's innings with a 100-run partnership before Paul van Meekeren dismissed the latter for 51 runs. Rohit Sharma then partnered with Virat Kohli before being removed for 61 runs. Later, Kohli also scored a half-century as India took control of the game.
Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul then led the charge for India, scoring respective centuries, as India posted their highest total in the ongoing tournament- 410. Iyer scored an unbeaten 128 off just 94 deliveries while the wicketkeeper-batter amassed 102 off 64 deliveries. Indian bowlers then ran riot from the beginning of the second inning and bundled out the Scott Edwards-led side by 250 in 47.5 overs. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each. Meanwhile, Kohli and Rohit made one scalp each.
