Australian star batter Glenn Maxwell brought out his favorite reverse sweep shot against India in the warm-up match to earn himself a crucial boundary. Team Australia on Monday faced India in a warm-up game in Brisbane as the visiting team somehow managed to win the contest in a last-over thriller.

Speaking about Maxwell's reverse sweep, the right-handed batter faced leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal during the 15th over of the second innings. During the last ball of the over, Maxwell decided to do something extra-ordinary as he switched the bat, gripping it from the left-hand side and hitting the ball towards the mid-wicket region.

The ball landed just inside the boundary ropes as Maxwell earned a four

Notably,  Maxwell also got injured while attempting the same shot earlier in the match. The right-handed batter was also not wearing a helmet as the ball hit him near his eyes, but thankfully Maxwell did not get badly injured. Maxwell's innings was ended by pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar after he scored 23 runs in just 16 balls and hit four boundaries.

Speaking about the game, team India batted first and scored 186 runs in their allotted 20 overs. Opening batter KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav completed excellent fifties with the bat. For Australia, pacer Kane Richardson scalped four wickets in his four-over quota.

In reply, the skipper Aaron Finch and Mitchell Marsh were the prominent contributors with the bat apart from Maxwell hitting 23 runs. However, Mohammed Shami bowled a match-winning over for his team as the Men in Blue scalped four wickets in the final four balls of the match to complete an outstanding victory by six runs. The Men in Blue will now face New Zealand in their next warm-up game.
