The Hundred 2023 fixtures have finally been unveiled on Tuesday, January 24 and this will be the third edition of the 100-ball tournament featuring both men’s and women’s cricket teams. The competition will be played for a duration of four weeks in the month of August which happens to be the peak of English summer.

The Hundred 2023 kicks off on Tuesday, August 1 and concludes on the August 27. Trent Rockets are the defending champions in the men’s tournament while the Oval Invincibles successfully retained their title last year in the women’s competition and would now be eyeing a hat-trick of title wins this time around.

Here’s all you need to know about The Hundred 2023

The curtain-raiser will be played in Trent Bridge, Nottingham on August 1 where the reigning men’s champions Trent Rockets lock horns with the 2021 winners Southern Brave. Meanwhile, The Hundred Women’s title-holders kickstart their campaign the very next day i.e. August 2 against city rivals London Spirit.

The Eliminators are scheduled to be played at the Kia Oval in London on August 26 while the final will be played on the 27 at the ‘Home of Cricket’ Lord’s.

Notably, plenty of viewership records were shattered in the 2022 edition of the 100-ball competition including the women’s tournament. It was estimated that over a million fans had attended the matches in the second edition last year. Moreover, a record-breaking 271,000 spectators were estimated to have watched live, the women’s fixtures across the tournament.

Meanwhile, a shorter window has been planned for the third season of The Hundred in order to avoid clashing with England’s home international fixtures. Unlike the previous two editions, this year’s tournament would be wrapped up within a month.

"I am incredibly proud of the impact The Hundred has already had on cricket in England and Wales after just two years, providing a new format that has seen more families and a diverse new generation of fans getting into the game. As we enter year three, we’re looking forward to build on that momentum and put on another unforgettable summer of world-class cricket action and entertainment that will continue to appeal to new and existing audiences alike”, said Sanjay Patel, Managing Director of The Hundred.
