‘There’s always another side to every story told’ - Shimron Hetmyer’s girlfriend opens up on the flight miss incident

West Indies batter Shimron Hetmyer was withdrawn from the T20 World Cup 2022 squad few days back on account of missing the rescheduled flight to Australia and it was a huge disappointment to the fans in Carribean. While the reasons behind the missed flight weren’t revealed, it has been a talking point in the social media among the fans and experts. In fact, Hetmyer has received severe criticism for the incident and it definitely, will affect the morale of any cricketer.  

Hetmyer’s girlfriend now has come up with a different proposition as she posted a story on Instagram stating that the truth about the incident is yet to be unveiled. She also provided support for her boyfriend and was confident that Hetmyer’s side of the story will be heard one day.  

“There’s always another side to every story told #whatsinthedarkmustcometolight @shetmyer always gonna support you love no matter what” - Shimron Hetmyer shared a story of his girlfriend on Instagram. “Always is love” - Hetmyer wrote on his story.

This is not the first time that Hetmyer has been dropped from the squad as fitness issues had kept him out of the side. The board has been quite critical over his fitness despite the amount of talent he possesses and his absence is expected to be a big hole in the West Indies batting line-up which has struggled in recent times.

Meanwhile, Shamarh Brooks was named as the replacement by for Shimron Hetmyer in the squad for the T20 World Cup 2022. Nicholas Pooran will lead the West Indies side in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2022 and the two-time champions will start their campaign on October 17 in the qualifier stages against Scotland.
