Virat Kohli's Pakistani fan distributes sweets to celebrate birth of cricketer's son 'Akaay'

Star India batter Virat Kohli and his Bollywood actor wife Anushka Sharma announced the birth of his baby boy ‘Akaay’ on Tuesday, February 20. Notably, Kohli had withdrawn from the first two Tests of the ongoing series against England due to personal reasons. Earlier, it was expected that the batter would return for the remaining three matches, however, he further withdrew from the remaining games as well amid speculations about the reason for his absence.

The star cricketer finally ended all the speculations as he announced the birth of his second child. The news of the arrival of Junior Kohli was widely celebrated among the fans who flooded social media with congratulatory messages for the couple. Notably, the joy even transcended borders as a Kohli fan from Pakistan distributed sweets to celebrate the joyous occasion.

In a viral video, a fan can be seen distributing sweets to common people on the streets of Pakistan as people extend their warm wishes for the newborn. While congratulating Kohli, Pakistani people openly expressed their admiration for the star cricketer and wished for his son to break all his records appreciating his name (Akaay) as well.

Notably, Kohli’s good friend and his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate AB de Villiers had leaked the news of Anushka’s pregnancy during a live session on his YouTube channel. However, he later ate his words and apologized for spreading rumours.

Kohli to return in IPL 2024

Both Kohli and Anushka kept mum about the arrival of second child, unlike the first time when they shared the news of Anushka’s pregnancy on social media in 2020. However, a video of Anushka with a ‘baby bump’ went viral during the ODI World Cup 2023 which began the pregnancy rumours of the couple.

Meanwhile, having withdrawn from the entire India vs England Test series, Kohli will be next seen in action playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL 2024.
