While the specialist Indian pacers kept probing away, it was all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy who took the first couple of wickets on Day 1 of the third Test at the iconic Lord's Cricket Ground in London.
Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep began proceedings for India with the new ball after Ben Stokes won the toss and opted to bat first. Both bowlers troubled the opening duo of Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett upfront. There were a lot of plays and misses, but the rub of the green wasn't going India's way. Mohammed Siraj was introduced in the ninth over as Bumrah changed ends. However, the Shubman Gill and Co. were still awaiting first blood.
There was enough movement from the surface, but the England openers were doing just enough to survive and build a crucial partnership. Shubman decided to give his seam-bowling all-rounder, Reddy, a crack at the England batters in the 14th over, and this move paid rich dividends.
Reddy went past the outside edge of Duckett with his first delivery before the second one went for a boundary between mid-on and mid-wicket. The third ball was a long hop down the leg-side, and Duckett tried to help it along the way with a pull shot. However, there wasn't much pace on the ball, and the southpaw gloved it to the right of wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who took a good catch. The England opener was dismissed after scoring 23 runs off 40 balls.

Three balls later, Crawley got a jaffa from Reddy. The Hyderabad all-rounder put a delivery in the corridor of uncertainty, and Crawley went for a tentative poke. The ball swung away at the last minute, and the opening batter only managed to get a nick through to Pant, who didn't have to work as hard as he had to during the previous dismissal.
Take a look at the two dismissals below:

England went through to Lunch at the score of 83/2 in 25 overs. Joe Root and Ollie Pope are batting on 24* and 12*, respectively.
