As the ICC T20 World Cup moves into the crucial Super Eight stage, the Indian cricket team took a well-deserved break to recharge themselves in the bright blue waters and white sandy beaches of Barbados.

In a video shared by the BCCI, the players were seen engaging in a friendly game of beach volleyball, soaking up the Caribbean sun and letting loose after their unbeaten run in the group stage.

The clip showed Virat Kohli, Rinku Singh, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Arshdeep Singh diving, running, and laughing their way through the match.

Even Yuzvendra Chahal and fielding coach T Dilip were spotted joining in the fun. The video also shows the reserve player of the Indian squad Khaleel Ahmed talking about the volleyball match, “We have pretty good players in our team (volleyball) like Rinku Singh and Yashasvi Jaiswal.”

India to face Australia in Super Eight on June 24

Leading from the front, Kohli appeared to be enthusiastic, gathering his team with animated celebrations after each successful volley. The former skipper's energy was matched by the young players like Rinku and Arshdeep.

With an exhausting schedule ahead, featuring clashes against Afghanistan on June 20 at Barbados, Bangladesh on June 22 at Antigua, and the former champions Australia scheduled on June 24 at St Lucia, this break for the Men in Blue seems to be much needed.

Unbeaten in the group stage, the Rohit-Sharma-led side's campaign has gathered steady momentum, even as some of their star players are yet to hit their peak form. However, their comprehensive successes over Ireland, Pakistan, and the USA have fostered confidence within the team.
