The five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will be taking on the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday, May 6. Ahead of the clash, the former Indian T20I skipper Rohit Sharma presented a special ring to pacer Mohammed Siraj in recognition of his contributions to Indiaβs triumph in the ICC Menβs T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. The heartwarming moment was shared by the BCCI and the video went viral.
India lifted the T20 World Cup trophy after 17 years by displaying all-around performances throughout the tournament. The pacer featured in three matches during the USA leg of the campaign, but was later benched for the West Indies fixtures as the team chose an extra spinner and brought in Kuldeep Yadav.

India remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, which was a historic accomplishment. They concluded their journey in a thrilling final against South Africa. The Men in Blue won the match by seven runs and clinched their second ICC T20 World Cup title.
Speaking about the IPL clash, Hardik Pandya-led team are in terrific form with six consecutive wins and are on the way to gain a spot in the playoffs. GT are currently placed fourth on the points table with seven wins in ten matches, and will be eager to secure a win to confirm their playoff spot.
In their previous encounter earlier this season, GT defeated MI by 36 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Sai Sudharsan scored 63 runs, and the pacers Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Siraj picked up two wickets each in that game.
