The fourth day of the ongoing World Test Championship Final between Australia and India saw the Asian outfit start on the front foot as they got rid of the well-set Marnus Labuschagne inside the first half an hour. Australia's plan of sweeping quick runs was halted by Ravindra Jadeja, who managed to get rid of Cameron Green with a smart ploy.

Despite the Aussies losing Marnus Labuschagne early in the session, Australia's lead swelled past 300, with Cameron Green looking in ominous touch. However, the Australian dasher was sent packing after a rather unfortunate dismissal. India tried to apply the brakes on Green's partnership with Alex Carey after equipping Ravindra Jadeja with close-in fielders.

Jadeja, in an attempt to exploit the rough outside the leg stump, threw the delivery out of Green's reach. The Australian all-rounder had no interest in playing the delivery, but the ball turned sharply to hit his glove, deflecting off his back thigh en route to hitting the stumps. The Indian left-arm spinner was jubilant after that wicket as he knew the importance of that scalp.

The wicket came against the run of play as both Carey and Green were starting to frustrate the Indian bowlers with their partnership. Despite that crucial breakthrough, the Aussies maintained their firm grip on the proceedings as their wicketkeeper-batter took advantage of some wayward bowling before Lunch.

Australia's lead has already rocketed past the 350-run mark, and it is likely that Pat Cummins' side will up the ante in the second session, batting out the Asian side in the summit clash.
