In a very unusual turn of events, the recently concluded Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has come under the scanner for weird reasons. Coming in to the tour, the Sri Lankan side was suffering from severely poor form. They were tour-washed by the Indian team prior to this series. Much to their delight, they ended up winning the Test series against Pakistan 2-0.

Albeit they lost the ODI series that followed the Test series, the Test win was a big boost for Sri Lanka. Now, a local sorcerer of Sri Lanka, named Gonga Zoiza, has claimed that she performed black magic on the Pakistani team before the series. She mentioned that she did so on the request of Sri Lankan sports minister Dayasiri Jayasekara.

“Chandimal came to me before leaving for the series against Pakistan (in the United Arab Emirates. My special thanks to minister Dayasiri Jayasekara for directing him to me. I will ensure a golden era for Sri Lanka cricket,” the sorcerer had posted on the social media claiming she performed black magic.

Minister denies the allegations

Meanwhile, Dayasiri has denied all these claims. As per the quotes in bdcrictime.com, he has threatened to take things to the police if the sorcerer does not take back her claims and the post. He mentioned that he has already spoken to the sorcerer about this and has asked her to take the post down. He questioned that had the magic been done, how would they lose the ODI series then.

“I told her that if she didn’t take down that post, I will complain to the police and also take legal action against her, I did not direct the captain or the team to get her services. If she really cast a spell, how come we suffered a whitewash in the ODI series?” the minister questioned.
