After a good long break, Australia and South Africa are ready to get back on the playing field. The ongoing four match Test series has already proven to be a fiery contest between the two top sides. Currently, the series stands leveled at 1-1 with two more Test matches to play. The third Test will commence on March 22 in Cape Town.

Prior to the game, the visitors have received a very good news. Two of the star players of Australia are set to play in the upcoming fixture. Fast bowler Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Mitch Marsh have been declared fit ahead of the Cape Town Test. As per the recent reports in the Sacricketmag, both Starc and Mitch Marsh have cleared their individual fitness tests.

Furthermore, ace spinner Nathan Lyon has tried to play mind games by coming up with witty updates on the two bowlers. Nathan Lyon remarked that he has been informed about how Starc is bowling at fiery rates in the practice sessions. He admitted that it has been a long season for the bowlers and their bodies are going get tested in such situations.

“I heard Cameron Bancroft say that he was bowling quite quick, so that’s exciting to have him up and going. I know the bowlers are feeling pretty fresh after a couple of days off. It’s been a big summer for them … but I’ve got no doubts about Starc,” quoted Nathan Lyon.

Other major updates

Commenting on the injuries, Starc had been struggling with a calf niggle for some time. On the other hand, Mitch Marsh had picked up a groin injury during the Port Elizabeth Test. In other news, South Africa have been bolstered by the return of Kagiso Rabada.

Rabada, who was earlier banned for two Test matches, saw his ban being uplifted by the ICC recently. Rabada would be raring to take the field again. He certainly has been a big player for the hosts this season.
