India U19 took a 2-0 lead in the 5-match Youth ODI series against England as they cruised to an 8-wicket win at the Canterbury after restricting the home side to just 175 runs. Electing to bat first twice in two games, England got off to a good start as openers put on 48 in 9 overs. However, once the Indian spinners entered to the scene on a slower track, England batsmen struggled to uphill the task and conceded with in a flurry.

First match’s star Anukul Roy rocked England U19s again with 4 wickets as they collapsed from 84/1 to 123/7. The lower order tried to add some crucial runs and play out the 50 overs but leg-spinner Rahul Chahar picked up 3 wickets to wrap up the home side’s innings for just 175. India ensured they didn’t collapse in their chase like in the previous game as the openers shared a 110-run stand in just 100 balls before their captain Prithvi Shaw fell for 48 runs. Another opener Himanshu Rana put on 61 runs for the 2nd wicket with Shubman Gill before getting out for 74 with India 5 runs away from the target. Shubman remained unbeaten on 38 by scoring the winning runs.
