The SRH vs KXIP match will get to witness the likes of David Warner, KL Rahul, Rashid Khan and possibly even Chris Gayle.

The David Warner factor

David Warner is currently on an 8-match streak of scoring fifties against the Kings XI Punjab. Given the way KXIP’s bowling has performed in this season, we might not see anyone stopping the SRH skipper. The off-spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman is expected to play the game who could end up facing the wrath of the Australian opener. KXIP’s best chance will be attacking with Shami and Cottrell as Warner showed struggles against pace in IPL 2020.

Safe team

David Warner is an obvious choice as captain for his record against KXIP team. KL Rahul is a safe option as vice-captain considering him getting decent scores every match in this tournament irrespective of his modest strike rates. Mayank Agarwal could end up falling to Sandeep Sharma who has got the Indian opener three times.

Risky team

Chris Gayle is expected to play this match and if he does so, the Caribbean opener could end up saving Rahul from Rashid Khan. Mayank is a better bet, in general, to cope against Rashid and hence he is made vice-captain. If Gayle gets to play SRH vs KXIP, he can be picked instead of Rashid and made vice-captain.
