India completed the tour whitewash by winning each of the nine matches played on this tour of Sri Lanka as they defeated the hosts in the one-off T20I by 7 wickets. Captain Virat Kohli guided his team to a victory with an 82-run knock supported an unbeaten fifty from Manish Pandey. The pair put on a 119-run stand for the 3rd wicket to help India chase down the 171-run target set by Sri Lanka.

4 – Number of consecutive fifty-plus scores in T20Is by Virat against Sri Lanka. He scored four in a row against Australia as well. No other player has scored fifty-plus scores in more than three consecutive T20I innings against an opposition.

82 – Virat Kohli’s 82-run knock is the 2nd highest score in a successful run-chase for a captain in T20I cricket. Chris Gayle’s 88 against Australia in 2009 is the highest in a successful chase by a captain.

119 – Virat Kohli and Manish Pandey’s partnership is the highest for India while chasing in T20Is. The previous highest was 107 between MS Dhoni and KL Rahul against West Indies in 2016.

333 – Innings Virat Kohli needed to complete 15000 runs in International cricket; the fastest to the milestone. The previous fastest to 15000 International runs was Hashim Amla in 336 innings.

1016 – Runs Virat Kohli has aggregated while chasing in T20I cricket; the most by any player. He went past Brendon McCullum (1006) during this innings.

1830 – Virat Kohli’s aggregate of 1830 runs in T20Is is the 3rd highest for any player. He went past Mohammad Shahzad (1779) and Martin Guptill (1806) during this game.
