After being whitewashed in the 3-match ODI series, the West Indies now look to win the T20I series at least in their tour of Sri Lanka. West Indies missed out on two close matches during the ODI series which stopped them from winning their first ODI on the Sri Lankan soil in nearly 15 years. West Indies will be strengthened in the T20I series with the inclusion of Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo and Shimron Hetmyer. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, will be led by Lasith Malinga but will miss the services of Nuwan Pradeep who performed well in T20Is during the tours of Pakistan and Australia.
