Only around a month after Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor’s demise, Bollywood lost yet another gem in Sushant Singh Rajput on Sunday. The actor allegedly hanged himself at his Bandra residence in Mumbai to leave everyone shell shocked. Soon after the news broke out, the social media was filled with the condolences messages for his family. Even the cricketing fraternity expressed its sadness over the passing away of the actor.

Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar was also one of them as he termed Sushant as a young and talented actor. Sushant was only 34 years old and closely connected to the cricketers for his Bollywood blockbuster MS Dhoni: The Untold Story which released in September 2016. His debut movie Kai Po Che, released in 2013, was also related to cricket.

Sachin, in his tweet, expressed shock over the loss of such a brilliant actor and also paid condolences to his family and friends. “Shocked and sad to hear about the loss of Sushant Singh Rajput. Such a young and talented actor. My condolences to his family and friends. May his soul RIP,” his tweeted read.

Cricketing fraternity shocked to know about Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise

Meanwhile, apart from Sachin Tendulkar, the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Mithali Raj, Suresh Raina, Irfan Pathan, Virender Sehwag and many other Indian cricketers expressed themselves over Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise. The man who recreated India’s World Cup-winning moment in MS Dhoni’s biopic was close to most of the Indian cricketers and it has left everyone shocked.

Suresh Raina remembered the time spent with him during the shoot of the movie while Irfan Pathan recalled the last meeting with the actor when Sushant’s last movie Chichhore was released. The actor had also urged Irfan to watch the movie which incidentally had passed the message to fight and live and suicide is not a solution.

“I’m deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the suicide of #SushantSinghRajput my heart goes out for his family. I chatted with him last at the Taj Hotel Gym, I praised him for his work in Kedarnath & his reply was ‘Bhai please do watch chhichhore’ you will love it!” Irfan wrote in a series of tweets.
