Suresh Raina’s batting form has been quite crisp since comeback and the same can be said about his singing. The Indian batsman with his melodious voice, entertained a small gathering of his teammates earlier today in the restaurant of the Indian team hotel in Colombo.

BCCI, on its Twitter handle, posted a video in which Raina seems to have been creating an atmosphere around him, singing an old Hindi Bollywood song ‘yeh shaam mastani madhosh kiye jaye.’ The original singer of this song is the late Kishore Kumar who is a legendary and one of the most popular names in India.

This is not the first instance of Raina showing his singing talent in public. He is considered one of the better singers in the Indian dressing room and he has also sung in many Television programmes he has featured in as a guest.

Raina recently made a comeback into the Indian T20 team after showing some brilliant form in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the domestic T20 tournament. He has been hitting the ball fairly well and has gone past the score of 30 twice in the 5 games he has played since the first T20I against South Africa but has failed to make it big on any of the occasions.

The team has backed him really well and in fact, skipper Virat Kohli gave up his personal No.3 spot in the T20Is against the Proteas to give Raina the freedom to go out there and express himself. He has used the licence to hit the big shots from the onset. The team wants him to ensure the scoring rate doesn’t take a hit in the middle overs and the job has been done. Raina we all know is a live wire on the field and has added value to the Men in Blue in that respect along with picking a few wickets with his part-time off-spin.

Team India will play Sri Lanka again tomorrow and Raina is most likely to be in the playing XI. He will bat 3 and will want to make sure he takes the inning all the way this time.
