Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and others celebrate India's thrilling 2nd ODI win in a late-night jam session

All the eyes were fixed tight on the second-string Indian team ahead of their series against Sri Lanka. Under the watchful eyes of Rahul Dravid, the team was highly anticipated to perform well in the series and they certainly lived up to all the expectations where the team showed great character to clinch series 2-0. In what was a thriller second ODI, Deepak Chahar stood out for the team and pulled an outstanding victory and it called for a celebration post the win.

The Indian cricketers had fun in a late-night jam session in Colombo after securing an incredible win on Tuesday. Suryakumar Yadav and Deepak Chahar were belligerent with the willow as they hit half-centuries in the chase to fashion India’s triumph. However, the latter went on to further better his abilities by scoring an unbeaten 69. After the series win the players were all in the mood to cherish it as they sang a famous Bollywood song.

The players were seen enjoying their time whilst singing the song ‘Bheegi Bheegi’ from the movie Gangster. Hardik Pandya, Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Krishnappa Gowtham, and a few other players were relishing the tone of the song. Suryakumar Yadav shared a video on his Instagram account wherein all of them were having a good time enjoying the jam session.

Shikhar Dhawan praises Surya Kumar Yadav and Deepak Chahar

When it almost felt that the hosts are about to level the series, India found a way to bounce back in the series. The captain of the side for this tour, Shikhar Dhawan was extremely impressed with the way the players displayed their flair in the second ODI. In the post-match presentation, he appreciated the team for their commendable effort.

“The way Manish Pandey and Suryakumar were batting, we thought they would take us home. Hard luck to Pandey for the way he got out. The way Krunal fought in the middle was amazing. Everyone showed character. We knew that Chahar has worked hard in the nets on his batting. His presence of mind and calculations against the leg-spinner was amazing. Both Bhuvi and him calculated it really well,” said Dhawan.
