The cricket fraternity watched in awe as MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh massacred the English bowling at Cuttack. Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was no exception. The actor who had played the titular role in MS Dhoni’s biopic could not hide his excitement during the match. He was seen dropping in a couple of witty tweets that won the hearts of the fans yet again.

It was Dhoni and Yuvraj who rolled back the years on the cricket field. Off the field, it was Sushant who rolled back the days to remind people of popular dialogues from his movie MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. In the match, Yuvi and MSD put up a marathon stand for the fourth wicket. Team India was reeling on 25/3 when the two batsmen joined hands at the crease.

By the time they left, they had ensured that nothing could take India out of the game from thereon. Both the batsmen reached their centuries. Yuvraj plundered 150 off 127 balls – his highest score in ODI cricket. MS Dhoni scored his first ton after 2013 as he finished with 134 runs to his name. Their combined efforts helped India post 381 runs on the board.

India eventually ended up winning the ODI by 15 runs to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the 3-match series. Seeing MS Dhoni clobber the bowlers at will, the actor tweeted a dialogue from the movie wherein he defends his attacking game to his close friend Param. He tweeted, “Hum pyaar se hi marte hain bhaiya…Apko zor se lagta hai” #loveyouMahi #mahimaarrhahe #INDvENG”

One of the most popular and the most loved scene in the movie was when Dhoni and Yuvraj meet for the first time. The two had faced off in the Cooch Behar Trophy back in 2000. Yuvraj led Punjab U19s in the match and Dhoni had stepped up for Bihar U19s. The part that the audiences loved was the way Dhoni had described Yuvraj’s batting in the match.

Sushant Singh Rajput was spot on in reciting the same words yet again in praise of Yuvraj Singh’s thunderous 150. He tweeted, “Phir batting karne aata he #YuvrajSingh . Bahut maara, dhaaga khol diya ekdum..!! #INDvENG”
