Andhra’s campaign in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 began with a record victory of 179 runs against Nagaland whom they bundled out for 65 runs after posting 244/4. They were on the edge of winning against Kerala as well but a hat-trick from Sandeep Warrier took the game away from the hosts. Warrier picked up a hat-trick when Andhra needed nine from five balls.
They will now face Jammu and Kashmir who are coming from back to back defeats. The Parvez Rasool-led team began the tournament with a 9-wicket win against Mizoram. However, an Ishan Kishan century helped Jharkhand chase down the target against J&K while the game against Delhi turned out to a thriller. Delhi chased down the 14 runs needed in the final over with one ball to spare.
