Runs galore profusely on Sunday in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as the likes of Delhi, Karnataka, Mumbai and Jharkhand registered brilliant wins. Services delivered a stunning result against a much-stronger unit in Maharashtra, which probably was the result of the day.
Ishan Kishan scored his second century in two matches this tournament as Jharkhand continue their good run. With Kishan scoring 119, Jharkhand registered 219 runs in 20 overs. Manipur were never on the same page with their opponents and could reply with just 98/9, surrendering by 121 runs.
Manish Pandey continued his purple patch across all formats as he smashed 111 off 46 balls against Arunachal Pradesh. Banking on his knock, Karnataka scored 226 runs losing just four wickets. In response, the opponents from North-east got bowled out for just 80 runs as Shreyas Gopal picked up five wickets.
Saurashtra smashed home a simple win in a low-scoring encounter against Punjab. Punjab batting first got bowled out for 122 runs, with Yuvraj Singh top scoring for the side (34 off 31 balls). Pujara and Robin Uthappa made a mockery of the run chase and completed a stellar 8-wicket win.
Here are the scores from the other games.
