Rajputs might now have been happy with how things went for them in the T10 league thus far after beginning with a blitz in the opening game. After chasing down 95 against Sindhis in only four overs, the Rajputs lost to Pakhtoons defending 121 in the game where they made 71 runs in first four overs. In the last game of the group stage, they could only make up 94/5 in nine overs, a total which couldn’t have saved them against Kerala Knights if not for the rain.

Given the batsmen in their side, Maratha Arabians would have considered they have underperformed with the bat. They were bowled out for 78 chasing 122 against Punjabi Legends in the first game before bouncing back against Bengal Tigers by chasing 92 with ten deliveries to spare. In the final game of the first round, they were far from defending their total of 94 in the 9-over game against the mighty Northern Warriors.

Match Details:

The 15th match of the T10 League will be played between Rajputs and Maratha Arabians at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in Sharjah.

The match starts at 6:30 PM local time (2:30 PM GMT) (8:00 PM IST).

Pitch Condition/Report:

The scores have dropped down in the recent matches and anything over 110 could be enough for the batting sides. However, the chasing teams still have an advantage as they know what they are behind rather than aiming to set a winning total.

Squads:

Rajputs:

Brendon McCullum (C), Ashfaq Ahmed, Carlos Brathwaite, Ben Dunk, Laurie Evans, Karim Janat, Tymal Mills, Mohammad Shahzad, Munaf Patel, Samit Patel, Qais Ahmad, Rohan Mustafa, Rilee Rossouw, Sayed Shirzad, Oshane Thomas, Peter Trego.

Maratha Arabians:

Dwayne Bravo (C), Rashid Khan, Kamran Akmal, Alex Hales, James Faulkner, James Vince, S Badrinath, Brendan Taylor, Adam Lyth, Roelof van der Merwe, Najibullah Zadran, Richard Gleeson, Hazratullah Zazai, Amir Hayat, Zahoor Khan.

Probable XI:

Rajputs:

Brendon McCullum (C), Mohammad Shahzad, Rohan Mustafa, Laurie Evans, Rilee Rossouw, Samit Patel, Carlos Brathwaite, Tymal Mills, Qais Ahmad, Sayed Shirzad, Munaf Patel.

Maratha Arabians:

Dwayne Bravo (C), Hazratullah Zazai, Alex Hales, James Vince, Brendan Taylor, S Badrinath, Rashid Khan, James Faulkner, Roelof van der Merwe, Richard Gleeson, Zahoor Khan.

Power Picks:

Munaf Patel started the T10 League well by taking three wickets in the first game. His slower deliveries were effective and he got the wickets off those. Richard Gleeson also comes under the same category and should be in your team.

Best Playing XI:

Mohammad Shahzad, Brendon McCullum, Rilee Rossouw, Hazratullah Zazai, Alex Hales, Rashid Khan, Carlos Brathwaite, Sayed Shirzad, Munaf Patel, Roelof van der Merwe, Richard Gleeson.

Captain and Vice-Captain Selection:

Brendon McCullum and Rilee Rossouw can be one of the multipliers from the Rajputs while the openers of Arabians – Hales and Zazai can be considered for the other multiplier.

Expert Advice:

Rashid Khan has been economical in this tournament so far having conceded runs at under nine an over. Given the shortness of the format, batsmen, without any option, have to take risks against him. Rashid’s batting is an added bonus given his batting position in the Arabians’ line-up. He could become an ideal option for multiplier by end of the tournament.

Probable Winners:

Both the teams have similar strengths with respect to bowling but Rajputs’ batting could make a difference in this game.
